Common Agricultural Policy
The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is fundamental not only for the requirements for farmers and businesses in rural areas but also for the support provided to them. That is why it is very important that strategic documents and regulations, national programs and plans reflect and support in an adequate and balanced way the needs of HNV farming, small and family business and local communities.
STEP participates in the European coalition of environmental NGOs “Good Food, Good Farming”, focused on the CAP. STEP experts prepare analyses, assessments, observations, studies and trainings on the development of the EU CAP and its implementation in Bulgaria.
On national level STEP collaborates with representatives of environmental NGOs and farmers’ associations for preparation and coordination of proposals, positions and comments about the development and implementation of strategic documents and regulations for the CAP.
