Conducted training of environmentally friendly pasture management
Held a seminar on environmentally friendly pasture management within the project "Partnership for environmentally friendly pasture management", funded by the NGO in Bulgaria under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014.
A training seminar on natural pasture management carried out within the frame of “Partnership for nature-friendly pasture management” Project funded in the framework of the NGO programme in Bulgaria under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009-2014.
On April 30th at “Vitosha” Park Hotel in Sofia, a single day training on “Natural Pasture Management” was carried out. It is part of the activities concerning the work with volunteers and encouraging volunteering, carried out within the frame of the of “Partnership for nature-friendly pasture management” Projectfunded in the framework of the NGO programme in Bulgaria under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009-2014
The training entailed two main topics:
1) Pasture management from the forage quality standpoint (in Bulgarian) lectured by Prof. HristinaYancheva, Agrarian University, Plovdiv; and
2) Pasture management from the biodiversity preservation standpoint (in Bulgarian) lectured by Dr. ZhekoSpiridonov, expert on species and habitat preservation in high value areas and Natura 2000 areas.
The subjects provoked the participants’ interest and stirring discussions were carried out. Representatives of the young people, local community and the Godech municipal administration took part in it, as well as students from the “Agrarian business” and “Ecoeconomics” subjects of the “Natural Resources Economy” Faculty of UNWE, experts from the partnership group of the Project, volunteers with interests related to the natural resources and biodiversity preservation, STEP members.
